How does the Dazzle business model work?

Every freelancer on our platform sets their own hourly rate. Once we’ve scoped your project, we negotiate directly with the matched freelancer(s) to secure the best possible rate for you.

As our freelancers are being presented with perfectly-matched, high-quality projects tailored to their expertise and preferences, they are willing to adjust their rates. Dazzle’s margin lies within this negotiation process, making our matchmaking service effectively cost-neutral for most companies.

This approach creates a win-win partnership: companies get access to top-tier expertise, and freelancers are connected with meaningful projects—all based on trust and mutual benefit.
How much does it cost?

All of our proposals are created based on the custom needs of our clients. We don’t have fixed project prices, as we work on a case-by-case basis.

However, we can share that the average hourly rate of our freelancers is €100. It’s important to note that we have freelancers worldwide, who have different levels of seniority and each bring their own expertise.
How do you vet your freelancers?
The screening process of our freelancers is a crucial element of our business.

Farah Mammadli, our Global Community Manager, developed a 4-step process:

Freelancers can submit an online application form which is open to everyone.

We review the applicants and make a selection based on their references, hard skills and problem-solving experience.

We invite the selected freelancers to a case study interview where they’re asked to present a project plan based on a fictional client challenge. In this interview, we score them based on 10 Dazzle criteria, which include both hard and soft skills.

The top-tier freelancers are admitted* to the carefully selected Dazzle Community (see more on ‘For Freelancers’ page).
